Hello Sunday Morning named as one of Gozney’s charity partners.
We’re delighted to announce we’ve been named as one of Gozney’s charity partners. We’ve teamed up with the pioneer pizza oven company to launch the Tom Gozney Signature Edition Roccbox. The new all-black signature edition celebrates their founder’s, TomGozney, 15-year odds-defying journey from substance use recovery to visionary designer.Gozney has pledged to donate US $100,000 of the signature edition proceeds to support people struggling with alcohol and drug dependencies across the globe.A portion of every signature edition Roccbox sale in Australia will be donated directly to us to aid in our support and recovery programs.

Hello Sunday Morning on the ABC
Hello Sunday Morning’s Dominique Robert-Hendren, Head of Clinical Innovation and Digital was a guest expert on the ABC’s (Australian Broadcasting Corporations) - Your Move, Q&A panel.The live Q&A aimed to raise awareness around our alcohol consumption habits and how we can manage our relationship with drinking.  A range of real time questions were answered by a panel of experts including National medical reporter Sophie Scott,  ABC weather presenter Nate Byrne and Dominique.  Catch up and learn some tips and tricks.

'After 30 years of problematic drinking, I quit. Then life threw me a curve ball.'
55 days into my decision to give up alcohol, I was thrown the biggest curveball of my life – a shock diagnosis of an aggressive type of breast cancer at the age of 46. In the trauma of the first couple of weeks post diagnosis, I questioned how I was going to get through one of the biggest challenges in my life without using alcohol? When I looked back at my life, there had never been an occasion when I was grieving or in pain when I hadn’t drunk alcohol to numb, soothe or escape.

Screen time, alcohol & poor sleep for girls: how the pandemic impacts teens
A Sydney University study, published June 2022, reported a concerning increase in teenage girl's alcohol use post pandemic - 134% higher than males. Hello Sunday Morning’s Head of Clinical Innovation & Digital Health, Dominique Robert-Hendren, spoke to triple J on the issue, “females often choose alcohol to deal with life’s pressures as opposed to males who often use alcohol to get involved in social activities”.

Hello Sunday Morning have created the Alcohol and Wellbeing Self-assessment in partnership with nib foundation.By taking the quick five-minute confidential online self-assessment you can check your drinking habits and receive support and personalised feedback about your drinking and well-being.Designed using insights from Australians challenged first hand with managing their drinking habits, the programs, tools and tips have been developed by clinicians trained to help and assist.  The new tool is located on the Hello Sunday Morning website and provides an additional avenue for support including recommendations of action and a link to Daybreak App.

How to survive the summer without booze
The proportion of people in their 20s who don't drink alcohol has doubled since 2001. This includes author, mental health advocate and former Miss Universe Australia, Molly Rogers, who's been sober since May 1, 2021.Dominique Robert-Hendren from not-for-profit organisation Hello Sunday Morning told Hack, apps like the Daybreak app released by her organisation, could help. "It's an online peer led community. So it's pretty much led by other people who might have very similar journeys as yourself," she said.
